I know it's been awhile since my last entry, but there have been a

lot of good stuff going on. In addition to our school's monthly PBIS

meetings we also have monthly district meetings and regional PBIS meetings in Greenville about three times a school year.

Today our school held two booster sessions in our school-wide

expectations. Looking at our referrals over the course of this year

indicated that they have been going up since December. In order to implement a change our faculty and staff decided to hold booster sessions for K-2nd grade and then 3rd-5th grade. Hopefully our data for the remainder of the year will show a decrease in the number of referrals.

I did an observation in Mrs. Angela Saxon's room last week. She has a neat idea to recognize students! She has a "High Five" hand that a student gets on his or her desk for exhibiting STAR expectations throughout the day. That student then writes about their favorite thing during that day. Each day a different student gets the "High Five". Way to go Mrs. Saxon for your creativity!
